so I had the one thing that could motivate me. I thought that if i thought of work, or maybe even life in a sadistic/masochistic way, then I would have a reason for it all. Then i realized I didn't have to view it as torturing myself, but rather respecting myself and not letting myself off easy. that whole "I'm my own worst enemy" thing. I mean, if there is nothing else to be driven by, then why not be motivated by pleasure, or rather pleasure derived from pain.
